Thank you for stopping by! My name is Jessica Galano, and I am a New York City based graphic designer currently working in the music industry as the Senior Designer at Broadcast Music, Inc. My work has been featured in Billboard Magazine, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, and countless worldwide entertainment publications plus their digital counterparts. You also might have seen my work on the stages of Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and SXSW. Being able to combine my two major interests - music and design - has truly been a dream come true!
I graduated from Parsons The New School for Design with a degree in Graphic Design, as well as from Loyola College in Maryland with a degree in Business and Marketing. My career started at Condé Nast Publications in digital advertising sales for luxury brands such as Gucci, Esteé Lauder, and Hermés. I then continued on to a project management role at Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia, where I managed a team of designers and worked on custom advertising designs for Ghiradelli, Home Depot, and Kitchen Aid.
While I was studying at Parsons, I had the opportunity to complete an internship for Marc Jacobs and was eventually brought on as a full-time freelancer. I designed product catalogs and training manuals to be used within the Retail Operations team, as well as email newsletters.
Having years of experience in both the creative and business sides has proven to be extremely beneficial, and provides me with the ability to understand clients’ wants from the start. I love bringing ideas to life visually, and finding inspiration in the world around me while figuring out ways to integrate these observations into my designs.
